Overview Footgear

Summary

  • There are two general types of fetish footwear I'm interested in
  • The first is: Form fitting footgear like tight boots or certain athletic gear like hightops or boxing and wrestling shoes that fit tight to the feet and calves.
  • Or low cut athletic shoes that are also form fitting, such as running cleats or surf boots.
  • The second is: A 'bad shoe' for s/m play. If not interested in s/m play of this sort, then skip.
  • A 'Bad Shoe' starts with old loafers that can no longer keep a grip on and flop off exposing socks fitted tightly to the shape of the foot.
  • I discuss shoes as s/m material and why women's stilettos are the perfect bad s/m shoe.
  • For purposes of s/m play, since there is no male equivalent of women's 'bad shoe' stiletto, I will make a 'bad' shoe for our play by using loafers.

My fetish world consist of two main types of 'hot' footwear. One kind follows logically with the tight gear, and that's slim, narrow cut shoes. This is mostly hightops and boots, but not totally. I also include some narrow-cut low cut athletic shoes. These can be straightforwardly functional and attractive shoes. Or, we can modify them a bit to make them more challenging for an S/M experience.

Far more fulling in the realm of S/M is the other kind of shoe. It is only for those who want some S/M play with a 'bad shoe'. If this does not tickle your fancy then you can skip it. But if you want some suffering, inconvenience, annoyance, and more -- and you want to use shoes to get that ... then take a look at my attempt to make certain men's loafers into 'bad shoes'. Regular loafers (as they come from the store) are somewhat wimpy, but the ones I play with are custom designed to be really bad. Literally. I want a shoe to play s/m games with, but men's shoes don't do much in that regard -- unlike for women, where the spiked high heel stiletto is a huge s/m fetish object (a shoe that's bad in every way). There is nothing in men's footwear that compares, so I'm making my own bad men's shoe and it's based on loafers - old and worn down, unable to keep a grip on the foot, so they flop off the heel while walking.

Hightops

Among the hightops, I especially like boxing boots and wrestling shoes because they're cut to conform closely to the foot and calf. They're the closest thing 'regular' shoes come to the shoes in superhero outfits.

Boots

With boots, I tend to go for women's boots that are styled like men's. Women's boots are narrower, both in the foot and along the calf and leg. The latter tighter fit is noticable and a much hotter look with tight jeans, tight sports gear ... tight whatever.

Low cut athletic shoes

I'm into the ones that seem to wrap around and conform to the shape of the foot

Loafers as Bad Shoes

Note: If you are not interested in an S/M experience with loafers as 'bad shoes', then you can skip this and all the other loafer pages.

Loafers are my fetish 'bad shoes'. I know this is not 'obvious' or intuitive to anyone, so I have have plenty of detail telling you why, how, and so on. Whether I'm cultivating a pair to be my 'bad boys' or not -- still, I like them best when they've gotten old, worn down, loose, and ideally a bit unstable. Even better when I've modified them to cause extra annoyance or some pain. These are shoes I have been focusing on to take the fetish concept of 'bad shoes' in fun directions. Loafers that you buy in the store aren't going to be bad. To get there they will have to be seriously modified and degraded - so if you are intrigued by the concept of making and dealing with something that is a bad shoe, then ...

Footgear and S/M -- Stilettos and Loafers: Suffering for the Sake of Style

Footwear that takes suffering for the sake of style to its greatest extreme is by far and away high heeled stiletto shoes on women. For men, however, extreme high heeled shoes of this type have never been fashionable or acceptable (except in cross dressing). Furthermore, there is no male footwear equivalent that even comes close to high heels for their level of S/M. Womens high heels are bad (even 'evil') in so many ways that it's no accident they're the shoes most associated with S/M. What female dominatrix doesn't wear stilettos?

Many observers say that high heels change the posture of the wearer to look more erotically appealing: ass & tits out; back arched; body seeming to be in greater tension. It's a look you either like or you don't. Presumably, the wearer likes it and is going for it. But in order to achieve that look, what heels do to the wearer is pretty evil. These evils are enumerated on the page where I discuss turning loafers into bad shoes. Since there is no s/m male shoe equivalent to stilettos, I attempt to create one. See how I go about Turning Loafers Into Really Bad Shoes.
