Low-cut Athletic Shoes

The thrill here is for shoes that look like they're molded to the foot. They're narrow and tight-fitting. Examples would be cycling shoes, track shoes and cleated shoes used in various running sports. Non-athletic shoes can sometimes qualify as well -- diesel used to make a lot of shoes in this style, but apparently not so much any more. Puma still does. Occasionally Adidas, Nike, Asics and others do too.

Low profile -- almost look like foot gloves

Here stripes continue the optics of the shoe wrapping around under the foot.

Standard issue Converses -- they work.

Notice how these both indent upwards right under the arch for a countoured look

Covered in sleek, smooth skins that hide all the complexity that lies below

On all the shoes above, notice the sleek, smooth surfaces. If there are laces, they're not showing.

A sleek, technical look here

Dance shoes -- also conforming closely to the foot.

A sock is flowing into the shoe pretty seamlessly. And here, where do the tights end and the shoes start? Pretty slick

Note the way all these shoes wrap around the bottom of the foot
